One of my projects in Iceland was to find and watch the Puffin - a fascinating charismatic and colourful bird who usually nests at the top of cliffs in digged tunnels in the grass. Sounds easy with a population of about 4 million birds all over Iceland, in fact it was difficult find a place where the Puffin feels not disturbed by human observers. The pictures were taken at Látrabjarg the most western point in europe located in the lonely western fjords of Iceland. At the highest point the rocks vertically fall down 400 meters into the atlantic ocean. Due to the location the observer is exposed to very strong winds and has to pay always attention on not falling down the cliffs. In former times many people died there while collecting bird eggs.......
