Fjallfoss - Dynjandi

Fjallfoss - Dynjandi

Dynjandi (I believe is pronounced "DIN-yahn-dih") also known as Fjallfoss) is definitely our favorite Westfjords waterfall and we think by far the most spectacular one in the remote Westfjords (Vestfirðir) region. Befitting of this notion is that the word "dynjandi" means "thunderous" in Icelandic. It's actually a series of waterfalls (seven in all) with a cumulative height of 100m.
